The following Statement of Faith guides FFT in all that we do. It is the basis of our Business Principles
Statement of FaithGodWe believe there is one and only one God. God is a personal and loving God who has three aspects with distinct ministries yet is still one being. God the Father is the creator of all things and the final and absolute ruler of the entire universe. God the Father desires personal fellowship with every individual and wants all people to live with him after death. God the Son came in the form of a human in Jesus of Nazareth, lived a perfect sinless life, was put to death unjustly and became a sacrifice for all mankind. He was raised from the dead on the third day and is the only mediator between God the Father and mankind and the only way to gain fellowship with God. God the Spirit, often called the Holy Spirit, is the active aspect of God who indwells the believer in Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit is the advocate, comforter and teacher of the believer and he gives spiritual gifts, as he sees fit, for use in building the church and spreading the gospel message. The BibleThe 66 books of the Old and New Testaments in the Bible are God's complete and total revelation of his Word. All of the scriptures in the Bible are God-given and are to be used in teaching the individual believer and for the building of the church. The Bible also shows us by principle and example what actions, or sins, are morally wrong and offensive to God. The ChurchAll persons who have accepted the gift of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ as punishment for their wrongdoings and have willingly placed their lives under his Lordship are members of the Body of Christ. All Christians are to seek fellowship with other believers and are to place themselves under the leadership of a local Church and its Pastor. All believers are accountable to their local church and their Pastor. Likewise the Pastor is accountable to the local church and to lead and teach the church how to live the Christian life using the Scriptures as the final authority. The Believer's LifeAll believers live to love and serve God first with all their being and to secondly to love others as God has loved them. The believer continually seeks to know and understand God and Jesus Christ better and to apply the servant example of Jesus in all aspects of life. The believer is to reject in life all actions and sins that are contrary to the Scriptures. We are to be led by the Holy Spirit in all things, seeking to allow him to cultivate the talents and gifts he has given to us for ministry, professional life and personal life. The believer seeks to share with others the good news of what God has done for them through their words and actions. |
